Gold plating is often used as a long term dependable electrical contact, solderability, temperature resistance and corrosion protection in all types of electrical equipment.
Silver: Silver is used because of it’s outstanding conductivity for the connector, electrical, or electronic industries. When corrosion protection is less of an issue, Silver Plating provides a optimum level of conductivity. Electroless Nickel Plating: Over the years the metal finishing experts at N-TEK have become particularly adept at Electroless Nickel Plating. Beneficial for a number of industries; electroless nickel has a number of advantages over Electro-deposited nickel. Even deposition, good corrosion protection, hardness, wear and lubricity are some of the advantages.
Tin Plating: Bright tin plating or dull (matte) tin plating used in electronic applications for solderability and conductivity. It is also used for food related items. Bright Tin plating, in addition to its attractive appearance offers an increase in corrosion and tarnish resistance. Tin plating is RoHS, ELV and EEE compliant.
Solder Plating: Offered in two alloys 60/40 Tin-Lead and 90/10 Tin-Lead provides the perfect finish for soldering. Tin alloyed with lead reduce the melting point of tin. This provides flexibility in selecting soldering temperatures that will not impart too much thermal energy to delicate assemblies.
60/40 melting point range is 361°- 374°F
90/10 melting point range is 450°- 464°F
Passivation of Stainless Steel: Passivation of stainless steel is an absolutely critical step in ensuring that products are reliable, effective, and safe. Copper: A reddish deposit primarily used as an undercoat for nickel and other platings for good corrosion resistance.
Sulfamate Nickel: Electrolytically deposited. Sulfamate Nickel is an ideal option for components that require abrasion, wear resistance and corrosion protection. Sulfamate Nickel also provides maximum ductility for reduced stress and deformation of parts.
